A beautiful diamond and star sapphire gypsy ring from the vintage (ca1960) era! This stunning gypsy ring has a large double-cabochon star sapphire center and two diamond stones resting on either side. Made of 18k yellow gold, the ring has a fairly wide band that tapers in size towards the shank. The sapphire center has fantastic, vibrant lavender-blue color and faint star refraction, with an approximate carat weight of 5.85ctw by formula. The sapphire is flanked by two triangular brilliant cut diamonds, estimated to weigh a combined 0.85ctw. The ring is accompanied by GIA Sapphire Origin Report #2223792389, dated January of 2023, stating the Sapphire’s origin as Ceylon, with no indication of heat treatment. This incredible sapphire gypsy ring is also marked with an 18k purity mark and a maker’s mark that reads AJI. This spectacular piece is nice and weighty and perfect for anyone looking for a substantial sapphire!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6 but could easily be re-sized. The band measures 13.6mm at widest and 4.5mm at the shank.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the stones are intact.
